By The Source - Tuesday, July 15, 2008 - View Full Newsletter

Only 2 months left before SourceCon 2008! Make sure to get your ticket today!

The July issue of The Source focuses on one of the most important parts of our jobs as researchers and sourcers: communication. Whether we are communicating with our clients, prospects, or our co-workers, communication is something that can make or break our success in our jobs. Understanding how to communicate best with each other for clarity in our search projects is crucial to finding the prospects, and good communication with prospects is essential to bring the highest quality to our clients. Communication is also important in the basic understanding of research techniques and methods as well.

In this issue:

  • From Libraries to Recruiting Research
  • Ask the Sourcing Dude
  • Making the Offshore Recruitment Process Work
  • This month's Spotlight
  • Opinions: Ethics In Sourcing
  • Dinosaur Recruiters - Back from Extinction in the Age of Web2.0

Please let us know what you think; improvements come from your suggestions so let your voice be heard!

The Source
June 2008 Vol. I, Issue 4

SourceCon 2008 is approaching quickly - time is running out to get your ticket at a reduced rate!

We all place varying amounts of value on different things. Value is more than just the currency a product or service costs; it includes time saved or lost, manpower required, and many other factors. The value that we as researchers and sourcers bring to our organizations is priceless, though sometimes it is hard to communicate the extent of the value we add beyond a simple hire - the networking, the relationship building, the pipelining, etc. The June issue of The Source contains different views of how value is perceived in our industry and how to express this in our daily work.

In this issue:

- A Business Case for Attending SourceCon
- Ask the Sourcing Dude
- The Good-Fast-Cheap Model
- This month's Spotlight
- Digging for Hidden Treasure
- Technology Review

Please let us know what you think; improvements come from your suggestions so let your voice be heard!

We have a winner to Challenge number 2.

By SC - Tuesday, May 27, 2008 - View Full Newsletter

We have a winner to Challenge number 2.

Over the weekend we had a flurry of activity racing to solve challenge number 2 with dozen’s of people making it to the Myspace profile of Sue and a few then making it to the Son of SourceCon video on YouTube.

With all challenges though, there can only be one winner and we will be officially announcing who that person is and how they managed to master challenge number 2 in the next week.

Thank you to all who participated in the challenge and especially the dozens of international Sourcers who took part from around the world.

Regards,
